We are expecting our first baby and I am almost 15 weeks along now. It’s been exhausting so far but I am definitely getting my energy back now that I’m in my second trimester. We find out if it’s a boy or girl on Nov 20th or 21st and we are really excited to know!!!
There haven’t been any huge obstacles yet. I do have warm antibodies in my blood but it has been determined that they will not harm the baby. The only other thing is that my blood type is O- (universal doner but can only receive O- blood in a transfusion). The only reason this would be an issue is if the babies blood type is anything +, so we are having Chris’s blood tested to find out what blood type he is. If he is anything - then I won’t have to get a series of shots that would help prevent my blood from attacking the baby’s in the case that our blood mixes. It’s rare for the baby’s and mother’s blood to mix but it is possible.

Anyway, I’m taking pictures weekly now so here is a picture of my “not so there” belly at 14wks.
So life events have lead me to want try and shave off my beard and trusty mustache. Which events? The new CPAP that has a mask, and it sits right over my upper lip and nose, that kind of bothered my mustache… I figured I could not really just shave the stash and leave the beard.. I had tried that look, and did not care for it much. So this time I decided to go all in.
Shaving again has really been a great reminder as to why I hated shaving in the first place, the mainstream Gellet 5 blade shavers suck. The shaving foam crap they use makes your face dry and does not even work that well.
From what I have read, to really get a great clean comfortable shave, you’ve really got get a great single blade razor, some good shaving soap or cream and a brush to apply it.
After rockin the clean shave for a few days using the busted crap razors that I have I think I’ll be going back to the beard, and just figure out a way to deal with the uncomfortable mask and stash situation.

So after a few important client meetings this week, I’ll start growing the beard out again. Ahhh how I already miss my old pal face hair!
It seems like 2008 is REALLY the year for HD adoption for any true geek… Great movies like Dark Knight, Iron Man, Hulk, even Indy 4 are all coming out on Blu-Ray this year. But even still Blu-Ray player and disc sales are low.
Maybe you get you HD over the air like I have talked about before, maybe from cable or dish… Or do you just not have an interest in HD? Maybe it is to expensive, or just that you have not seen big enough difference? Share with me your thoughts!
